I’ve always found that even the best transitions aren’t easy. It’s always a surprise when wonderful life changes like a new baby or a new home present their own challenges.
Yet transition is one of the most inevitable and natural parts of life. Many people resist transition and try to avoid change. I find it helpful to remember change remains one of the only constants of life. We can learn about the new possibilities that the world presents to us through transition and can take advantage of it and allow ourselves to enjoy and grow.
A bit about growth
I used to block my own growth. It wasn’t my work, my geography, my gender, my partner, not my family, not even my huge responsibilities to two amazing children.
It took me a while to realise this, but I get it now: No one else but ourselves can block us from reaching our maximum potential.
Yes, this is the truth. ✨ Many of us blame other people, our circumstances, our disadvantages in life, or the lack of influence we have on others to make things work for us, to achieve the things we want to achieve without realising that all of our unobtained dreams and undeveloped potential are caused by our own lack of focus on our own growth.
It’s easy to fail to develop ourselves because we often lose focus on what we truly care about and what will make us grow. It’s so easy to feel scared.
The first step? Believe you can be what you want to be.
