Some things are just better in pairs.
Whether it’s the dynamic duo, the powerful partnership, or a couple of Cayman Parrots, the impact from having a team of two is undeniable.
For some reason, things often simply look better in twos. From earrings to lovebirds, pairs convey harmony and balance. A pair can be more practical, (eyes for example,) satisfying, (PB needs the J, no question) or just downright sensible, (ever tried to wear just one glove?)
The power of two is truly more remarkable than the sum of the two parts. It’s why I have recently taken to painting in series of twos. A unique strength and beauty comes from seeing a set of paintings together as a pair. It seems paintings, like us, are stronger together than we are alone. The only downside is, of course, now you are going to need a bigger wall.
